Katowicki rynek został praktycznie całkowicie zniszczony podczas II wojny światowej (a dokładniej podczas "wyzwolenia").
The Katowice marketsquare was completely destroyed durin World War II (by liberating Red Army to be more precise). Today it is mostly the crossing of tramlines from different cities and the best place to buy flowers. From the old buildings stands only the Silesian Theatre (part of it visible on the left). In the middle the Zenit shopping center.
