English: Marken is a peninsula in the IJsselmeer, the Netherlands, located in the municipality Waterland in the province North Holland. It is a former island, which nowadays is connected to the mainland by a causeway. Visible in this panaroma are the community of Grote Werf with the village of Marken in the background.
Nederlands: Marken is een schiereiland in het Ijsselmeer, Nederland, welke ligt in de gemeente Waterland in de provincie Noord-Holland. Het voormalige eiland wordt nu met het vasteland verbonden door middel van een dijk. In dit panorama is de buurtschap Grote Werf te zien met daar achter het dorp Marken.
